Backyard Cam: It Continues to Amaze!

This is the older traditional style camera which has served me well for many moons now.

This is a simple proof of concept for a low cost Hauppauge WinTV card-based web-cam and FreeBSD. Nothing fancy using all stuff already done before. Image quality partly degraded sometimes by shooting picture through the screen door to keep out the mosquitoes.

The driver is built into FreeBSD. The card is less than $100 depending on where you order it from.

This camera was converted to use Camsource so that other applications could more easily share the data. In particular, Zoneminder is now using the same streams.
